Terms of use

The terms, in plain English.

Last updated: 3 August 2026

The short version

Tone Logic is free to use. One payment of £17.99 — tax included — unlocks everything, forever. There are no accounts and no subscription; your purchase email is your key. Payment is handled by Stripe. Refunds go through Stripe too, and access, once granted, is not clawed back. Be decent, don't try to break it, and enjoy the app.

1. Who we are

Tone Logic is a guitar practice web app at tonelogic.app. You can reach us any time at hello@tonelogic.app. By using the app or this website you agree to these terms.

2. The service

Tone Logic runs in your browser — no download, no installation, no account. The free version is a real practice tool you can use for as long as you like. A single one-time purchase unlocks every tool, mode and feature.

3. The purchase

The full version of Tone Logic costs £17.99, paid once, tax included. There is no subscription and no renewal. Payment is processed by Stripe, who acts as the merchant of record — Stripe handles the transaction, applicable taxes, and your payment details. We never see or store your card information.

What the purchase covers: every tool, mode and feature in Tone Logic, and it stays unlocked. Improvements to the app come with it. Anything genuinely new we build later — other instruments, whole new tools — will be its own thing. What you buy today is never taken away.

4. Your purchase email is your key

There are no user accounts. When you buy, the email address you use at checkout becomes your entitlement key: we keep a record of it in our purchase store so we can recognise your purchase. To use the full version on another device, or after clearing your browser, you restore access by entering that email in the app — we send a one-time link to it, and clicking the link unlocks the device. Keep access to that email address; it is the one thing that proves the purchase is yours.

5. Refunds

Refunds are handled through Stripe, our payment provider, in line with their processes and applicable consumer law. And a promise we think matters more than the fine print: access, once granted, is not clawed back. We'd rather you tried the free version first and bought when you were sure — that's how the app is designed.

6. Fair use

The purchase is for you — use it on as many of your own devices as you like. Please don't share your restore email around, resell access, copy the app or its chord library, or attempt to break, probe or overload the service. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone abusing it.

7. What we don't promise

Tone Logic is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it available, accurate and improving, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, and we're not liable for losses arising from your use of it beyond what you paid us and what the law says can't be excluded. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and any meaningful change will be described plainly on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

9. Contact

Questions about any of this: hello@tonelogic.app. A human reads it.
